Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is Bandai Namco and developer Tamsoft's brand-new arcade-style football game based on the popular Captain Tsubasa series of anime and manga; a series that has been around for quite a while, but that people in North America have yet to experience.
Because the Captain Tsubasa series isn't as popular in North America, Bandai Namco even considered not releasing the game at all, but they were convinced that gameplay alone was already a pretty good excuse to try their luck any way.
For those who may still not be too familiar with neither the series, or the upcoming arcade-style football title, Bandai Namco has shared an in-depth gameplay trailer that tells players pretty much everything there is to know about Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.
First things first, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is not your ordinary football game like the FIFA or PES series, since the game features a fast-paced arcade-style gameplay unlike anything seen in any of the aforementioned series; with over the top techniques and football shots that aren't afraid to be flashy.
Players will also be able to immerse themselves even more in the game, as they will be able to be the protagonist of an all-new Captain Tsubasa episode called "New Hero", which is actually the game's story mode, mixed with animatied bits; just like being part of an episode.
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will also give players chance to interact with other of their teammates, in order to form bonds and perform even better during those action-packed Captain Tsubasa-like football matches.
