Built completely from scratch by game developer Toys for Bob, the
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy compiles the first three titles in the
Spyro series originally developed by Insomniac Games. The
Reignited Trilogy was announced earlier in May and is set to be released on the
21st of September for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Like it is to be expected from a title completely built from scratch, this because the developer couldn't find the original game's assets,
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy shines in the visual department, with beautiful and colourful graphics that give the classic games that needed update, tight controls that are faithful to the original games, and even some redesigned characters that used to look bland due to technical limitations when the games came out.
The latest video released by Activision shows off the friendly dragon, Spyro, traversing through the Hurricos realm from
Spyro 2: Ripto's Revenge. The video is narrated by one of the game's producer, who tells us about the changes they made to the original game, some new details added to the characters, and how they managed to enhance the designs while still remaining faithful to the look and feel of the original game.
