Developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision,
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy compiles the very first titles in the
Spyro the Dragon series originally developed by
Marvel's Spider-Man's very own Insomniac Games.
This compilation of
Spyro the Dragon games has been built from the ground up, with enhanced graphics and a brand new soundtrack that makes this remaster the definitive version of
Spyro the Dragon,
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, and
Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy was released on the 13th of November, and this week we have found out that the game is currently leading the UK software charts, rightfully taking
Red Dead Redemption 2's place; which is now sitting comfortably at the second place.
It seems like this is great news for Activision since their last compilation of PlayStation classics,
Crash Bandicoot N' Sane Trilogy,
managed to stay in the number 1 position for a staggering 8 weeks, breaking the record for most weeks in the Top 1 position in the UK. This was achieved this year when the
N' Sane Trilogy was released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, and not when it was originally released on the PlayStation 4 last year.
While it is still too soon to predict if
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will even come close to holding a similar record than
Crash Bandicoot N' Sane Trilogy, it sure is a great start for Activision, Toys for Bob, and the friendly dragon.
Explore the expansive realms, re-encounter the fiery personalities and relive the adventure in fully remastered glory. Because when there’s a realm that needs saving, there’s only one dragon to call.
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
