Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in just a couple of days. Players assume the identity of Cal Kestis — a Jedi Padawan who survived the Jedi Purge (A.K.A. Order 66) — as they traverse the galaxy, explore abandoned Jedi temples, and attempt to complete their training.
With the highly anticipated
Star Wars video game just a couple of days away, some dataminers have been able to get their hands on its game files and scrub right through them (via
/r/StarWarsLeaks). They discovered a plethora of exciting abilities and
SPOILERS. So don't read on if you want to go into
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order without knowledge of what you're going into.
First of all, the leaks reveal footage of Cal making use of a double-bladed lightsaber (akin to what Darth Maul is best known for wielding). There's also some cool abilities on show that haven't been revealed in trailers nor gameplay demos.
You can check out the video in question here — and below an image of Cal's double-bladed lightsaber.
Based on the leaks, you'll be able to customise your lightsaber with the following colours: blue, cyan, green, indigo, purple, yellow, magenta, and orange. Some fans will likely be disappointed that there's no mention of a red lightsaber crystal but it's understandable from a narrative perspective.
The following planets are mentioned in the files: Bogano, Zeffo, Kashyyyk, Dathomir, Ilum. We knew about them all apart from the latter — which just so happens to be the most interesting one. Ilum is where a Jedi Padawan would venture to choose their lightsaber crystal.
The biggest reveal of the leaks is that Darth Vader will feature in
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
You can check out the files that mention the Dark Lord of the Sith here. There has been much speculation that Vader would feature in the game given that he would be particularly interested in tracking down and snuffing out a survivor of the Jedi Purge (A.K.A. the game's protagonist).
Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15th, 2019.
