The Star Wars saga is rife with dismemberments - which is only natural given that the most iconic weapon in the films is a sword comprised of a laser.

However, some took notice of the fact that, in the recently unveiled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay footage, there were no dismemberments to be found. IGN recently asked what's up with that to Justin Perez, the senior designer working on the upcoming Star Wars videogame.

Perez explained that the player will be able to dismember their enemies "in select cases." Basically, you will be able to lop off the limbs of droids, spiders, and other aliens, just not anything too humanoid.

"Blame the Disney branding folks for that one, it seems," the report goes onto say. Disney are of course known for their family-friendly content. We should've really presumed this to begin with as there hasn't been a single dismemberment in any of the recent Star Wars movies.

Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release on November 15th, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
