In just a few weeks, Ubisoft will invite players to embark on a journey into the seedy underworld of the iconic galaxy far, far away. When Star Wars Outlaws releases on August 30th, players will step into the boots of Kay Vess, a scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life.
As it turns out, August 30th will just be the start of Vess's adventure. We already know Star Wars Outlaws will have Season Pass content and today, Ubisoft provided a post-launch roadmap of what we can expect in terms of additional content.
At launch, Season Pass owners will gain immediate access to the exclusive mission, Jabba's Gambit, as well as the Kessel Runner character pack with outfits for scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion, Nix. Ubisoft was sure to point out that all players will meet Jabba the Hutt in the main game, but only those with the Season Pass will gain access to this additional quest from the Hutt Cartel.
"Just as Kay is putting together a crew for her big heist, she receives a job from Jabba the Hutt himself - ND-5 owes the Hutts a debt from years ago, and Jabba has come to collect," Ubisoft detailed.
In addition to the launch content, the Season Pass will include two Story Packs. The first story pack, titled "Wild Card," is scheduled to launch in Fall 2024. The description reads:
Kay is hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament, but as she crosses paths with the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that another game is being played.
In addition to the mission, Season Pass owners will also receive the Hunter's Legacy Bundle and the Cartel Ronin Bundle with additional outfits for Kay and Nix plus cosmetics for Kay's speeder and her ship, the Trailblazer.
The second story pack, "A Pirate's Fortune," is expected to arrive in Spring 2025. Ubisoft teases:
The Trailblazer’s reputation precedes Kay as she runs into veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who is looking to settle old scores with a ruthless gang of pirates.
While the story packs are included with the Season Pass, they will also be available for standalone purchase. As of right now the Season Pass is only available for those who pre-order the Gold ($109.99) or Ultimate ($129.99) Edition of the game, or for those with a Ubisoft+ subscription. Seeing how these editions also include other digital bonuses, we don't quite know how much it will cost to purchase these story packs individually.
Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 30th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
