Announced in 2017,
Super Meat Boy Forever was scheduled to release at some point in 2018 but the developers decided to push the game forward and a new date was set; with April of 2019 becoming the new release window for the game.
Today, Team Meat has revealed that they will not be able to release the game this April, apologizing to fans about the inconvenience and reassuring them that the game is almost done but not quite ready yet.
What the developer didn't mention, however, was the new tentative release date for
Super Meat Boy Forever, but they do mention that this delay will not be too long since, as mentioned before, development on the game is almost done; thanking fans for understanding.
This may be a letdown to some, but delays are always a good thing for games in general, so we'll have to keep an eye out for future announcements from the
Super Meat Boy Forever development team.
Dr. Fetus is being a jerk again (as he does), but this time he's kidnapped Meat Boy and Bandage Girl's adorable little baby girl, named Nugget! Meat Boy and Bandage Girl will be put through the grinder (THAT ISN'T A MEAT JOKE SHUT UP) as they jump, slide, punch and kick through 6 chapters containing randomly constructed levels that increase in difficulty each time you rank them up.
Super Meat Boy Forever will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC soon.
