Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is Patrice Désilets' first major project since his departure from Ubisoft. Between 2009 and 2012, Désilets was working on a brand new IP
1666: Amsterdam, but it went down with the original THQ. As promised, the
Assassin’s Creed and
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time creator showcased his
Ancestors at yesterday's The Game Awards with a fresh gameplay trailer.
According to Désilets,
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person open world survival game where you explore, expand, and most importantly, evolve to advance your clan to the next generation. You will have a chance to grow your clan and find strength in numbers as you progress through critical evolutionary stages of human evolution, spanning from 10 million to 2 million years ago.
The survival game's first major trailer will surely make those how enjoyed watching Lara Croft's
Tomb Raider or Isaac Clarke's
Dead Space deaths happy, as
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey seems to be punishing the player for their mistakes and the in-game avatar is a fragile creature that can be easten by huge snakes or infuriated boars. Be sure to take a look at
The Humankind Odyssey down below:
