Operation Para Bellum will let players check out a new territory, Villa, which will be the nineteenth map of Rainbow Six: Siege. New operators, maps, gear, and improvements will be introduced thanks to Year 3, and this time it will be mostly inspired by Italia. The update will also bring the Pick & Ban system which will finally give players the ability to counter opponents by banning certain Operators.

Alibi is a new defender that will debut in Para Bellum, and she's all about finding clever ways to force the Attackers’ hands. Alibi was inspired by undercover infiltration specialists in the Italian Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale unit. She is a cunning woman with a gift for infiltrating dense networks of organized crime. Maestro, her friend from work will be introduced sometime this week.

It looks like Alibi might have the ability to use holograms to confuse her enemies, which will surely change the balance of Siege. The Villa map will be a great place to test her skills as Ubisoft promises that it's their most competitive map to date. More details of Operation Para Bellum and the future of Rainbow Six: Siege will be unveiled during Year 3's full reveal on May 20, 2018.

Her name is Aria de Luca. She was born in Tripoli, Libya and immigrated with her family when she was three years old. Her father managed a small ordnance manufacturer, using his contacts to open up exports. De Luca earned her understanding of Italian firearms through the family business and training on the shooting range. At 18, Aria entered the European Championships, and won gold in two divisions. Following the event, a Carabinieri recruiter convinced her to join the police force.

De Luca’s precision shooting skills shot her up the ranks, and she served for a time with the elite Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale in fighting organized crime. She eventually earned a spot in the Gruppo Intervento Speciale (G.I.S.), and following a successful operation in Afghanistan despite being separated from her unit, she was singled out for undercover work in organized crime. She infiltrated the Vinciguerra Crime Family and spent several years among them before bringing them down from the inside.

The Siege is a brand-new style of gameplay embracing the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world: intense and asymmetrical close-quarters combat between attackers and defenders. As a defender, you will have the means to transform your environment into strongholds to prevent the attackers from breaching. As an attacker, you will have many planning options to face this challenge and defuse these situations.
