Nefarious is a 2D action platformer game developed and published by independent studio StarBlade that was released for PC in January of 2017.

The game is the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign that was fully backed in 2014, in which even a Wii U version for Nefarious was considered; only to be cancelled once Nintendo stopped supporting the console in favour of their new project: the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch version of Nefarious was also announced and it has become available today, and we get a brand new trailer to celebrate. The game can be found digitally on the Nintendo eShop and will see players kidnapping the princess and becoming the villain of the story in some beautifully animated 2D environments; environments in which the final boss fights are none other than heroes trying to save the princess.

Tired of playing the hero? Nefarious is a 2D action platformer where you get to be the villain! Step into the wily shoes of Crow, an evil genius on an epic quest to steal princesses for his royalty-powered death ray – the world-conquering Doom Howitzer.

Nefarious is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
