TRINE 4, EARTHLOCK 2, ROLL THEM BONES, And More Leak Through An EU Subvention Listing

Now that's a nice surprise, as European Commission's new subvention listing has spoiled that Frozenbyte is developing a new Trine game as the document contains a lot of yet unannounced games...

One would think that after the mediocre Trine 3 Frozenbyte would stop continuing the series. According to European Commission, Frozenbyte still puts faith in the colorful franchise and is already developing Trine 4! The recently released subvention listing confirms that the fourth installment is on its way alongside projects like WitchHammer (from Jujubee) and AIDA (developed by Punch Punk).

The document reveals that Zoink is working on a game titled Roll Them Ball, Tequila Works is creating Lumberjack and Snow Castle is developing an Earthlock sequel. However, platforms are not attached to any of these projects and none of them has a specified release date. Considering that these projects just received the subvention, it's pretty clear that we're talking about games in pre-production.

Be sure to check out all project that received a subvention from EU down below (via Game Reactor):
