The new content shown in the trailer will be available to anyone who buys a Season Pass of the game's Gold Edition.
Far Cry 5's first post-launch DLC is set in Vietnam and is called
Hours of Darkness. Here you'll play as a character named Wendell Redler who goes up against the Vietcong and is tasked with rescuing prisoners of war.
Lost On Mars is the second DLC. Naturally, the game is set on the planet Mars during an alien invasion. The player's task in this case is quite simple: defeat the alien horde and evacuate back to earth. The game designers seem to have used Mars' gravity as a gameplay element similar to the space station sections of
Call of Duty: Ghost Recon. The futuristic weapons on display also display an aesthetic similar to the
Halo games.
The third DLC is called
Dead Living Zombies. This mode is geared towards fans of co-op. The player and a friend will have to survive wave after wave of undead zombies in 7 scenarios imagined by a fictional B movie director.
And that's not all,
Far Cry 3 fans will be overjoyed to learn that
Far Cry 3: Classic Edition will be included. In addition,
Far Cry Arcade and
Far Cry 5 Live Events are intended to support fans of the main game looking for additional activities to keep them busy.
