Ubisoft's STEEP Gets An Official Accolades Trailer Three Years After Its Initial Launch

Now that was fast. Ubisoft and PlayStation have officially released an accolades trailer for Steep three years after its initial debut, as the acclaimed sports game is now available on Playstation Plus...

When it comes to sales numbers, Steep is no Rainbow Six: Siege (or even For Honor) and it's telling that Ubisoft canceled the game's Nintendo Switch version a few months ago. While the majority of players have seemingly moved on, Ubisoft still puts faith and invests in the project, adding new content regularly. The latest free update even (or rather - finally) allows you to compete with friends in PvP.

Steep has also been available for download on PlayStation Plus since the beginning of the month and it looks like Ubisoft and Sony have decided to promote that event with a special accolades trailer featuring the press' positive reviews. It wouldn’t be that suspiring, but the fact that Steep launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 2, 2016, makes us seriously doubt the trailer's purpose.

While the timing of the said trailer might be confusing, Ubisoft Annecy's Steep still is an interesting beast. Just like Ubisoft's own Starlink: Battle for Atlas, it may seem like a game out of touch. Starlink was released in the post-Disney: Infinity era when the toys-to-life subgenre is practically dead, just like sports games that are not related to soccer. Be sure to take a look at Steep's accolades trailer below:

Ride a massive open world of the Alps. Go solo or drop in side by side with other players. Record and share the most insane stunts ever captured. Dare your friends to try out your custom trails, then challenge the world to beat your best tricks and relive your most epic wipeouts. The mountain is yours.

Steep is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW!
