It's here! We know you've been waiting for it. It's your monthly update on the release date of Sony's live-action Uncharted movie! However, in an absolutely crazy turn of events; the video game movie hasn't been delayed this time around but rather brought closer.

Sony has shifted around the release dates of a plethora of their live-action and animated movie such as the third Tom Holland Spider-Man movie, the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and more. Here and now, we're on about a different Tom Holland starrer.

Based on the video game series of the same name, Sony has been trying to get an Uncharted movie off the ground for a long while. This particular iteration of the video game movie will star Holland as Nathan Drake, Mark Wahlberg as Victor "Sully" Sullivan, and Academy Award-winning actor Antonio Banderas. Ruben Fleischer, best known for Zombieland and Venom, will serve as director.

The Uncharted movie has been subject to countless delays but today we're pleased to say that isn't the case. Previously set to arrive in theatres on October 8th, 2021; Uncharted will now debut on July 16th, 2021 (via ComicBookMovie.com). Of course, that's assuming that the movie isn't hit with any more delays. Here's hoping; fingers crossed.

Uncharted is set to arrive in theatres on July 16th, 2021.
