Electronic Arts recently announced that soon you'll be able to play The Sims 4 in first-person.

An EA Maxis developer recently demonstrated the upcoming mode on Twitch. Apparently the process of adding a first-person mode to The Sims was a tedious one, however, through refinement and experimentation (for example, removing your Sim's head, whilst in the mode, to avoid clipping issues) Maxis were able to perfect it.

Though it's a trippy experience, which Maxis acknowledge isn't for everyone, it is an intriguing new layer on top of the already expansive simulation-game - and we can certainly appreciate their strives to innovate. Apparently even some developers were woozy after trying it out. We can only imagine what it would be like in VR.

What do you think of the upcoming addition to The Sims 4? Are you looking forward to trying it out?

The Sims 4 is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
