Nintendo has just released a 20-minute-long presentation for
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that goes into detail about the upcoming DLC characters from Square Enix's acclaimed
Dragon Quest series; presented by
Super Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai.
First things first, it has been rumored that the
Dragon Quest heroes would be joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster as soon as the 31st of July, alongside with the 4.0.0 update for the game. We now have some great news, as the presentation has confirmed that the update and the
Dragon Quest characters will become available
today.
Players who have already purchased the
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Pack will have access to the Challenger Pack #2 today, while players who still haven't purchased the Fighter Pack can choose to purchase the Challenger Pack #2 individually from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
It is also worth mentioning that the Fighter Pack is currently on sale for $24.99, which will grant players access to the Challenger Packs 1&2, as well as the 3 remaining Challenger Packs. As a friendly reminder, the Challenger Pack #3 will feature
Banjo and Kazooie — which are expected to release at some point
this Fall.
