Last month, Nintendo published
a release schedule for their upcoming games. It featured a plethora of titles, most notably
Luigi's Mansion 3. With this schedule, we got confirmation that the upcoming sequel will be releasing within the fourth quarter of the year. We can now narrow the area down to a specific date, thanks to a recent listing that surfaced on Amazon.
This new listing specifically comes from the Mexican branch of the online conglomerate (via
Reset Era). This specific strand of Amazon has sprung countless leaks in the past that have gone on to be proven accurate. As well as this, the release date that the listing puts forward lines up with the afformentioned release schedule.
According to
the Amazon Mexico listing,
Luigi's Mansion 3 will be releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on October 4th. Notably, that will be a Friday (a weekday on which video games commonly release).
This date is also only a short time after September 20th, which is when the Nintendo Switch Lite will be releasing. The previous instalment in the
Luigi's Mansion series released on the Nintendo 3DS. The upcoming Switch system is said to be comparable to the 3DS, so it would make sense for
Luigi's Mansion 3 to be a launch title of sorts for the portable gaming device's spiritual successor.
Despite all that; it's worth keeping in mind that the October 4th release date is by no means official information.
Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone. In ScareScraper mode, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors with up to 8 players. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will suddenly appear on the Nintendo Switch this holiday 2019!
