Back in November, and according to a job listing from Nintendo Japan, we found out that the Japanese company was already
hiring people to work on a brand-new title in The Legend of Zelda series; which is not unexpected given that Nintendo usually begins working on
The Legend of Zelda games as soon as their done working on the previous one.
According to the job listing, Nintendo were looking for people with experience in terrain and topography production, and level designer to work on this new game's field, dungeons, and even enemies. This was particularly interesting, because it would confirm that the series wants to reintroduce dungeons; something that
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild didn't really focus on.
A report now suggests that Nintendo will be teaming up with Monolith Soft, the developers behind the acclaimed
Xenoblade Chronicles series, to develop the new title in
The Legend of Zelda series. The information actually comes from Monolith Soft themselves, who posted the information on their verified Twitter account.
Monolith Soft is currently hiring programmers, designers technical artists, and support staff to work on this new
The Legend of Zelda game but, other than that, we have no more information on the matter. We'll have to keep our eyes peeled for more information, but the fact that Monolith Soft — a developer that specializes in making open-world games — is working on the game is definitely reassuring.
