When Nintendo revealed the budget version of their handheld hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch Lite, they also low-key announced that a very slightly ehnanced version of the current model was also going to be released.
One of the things that we already knew about this revised version of the Nintendo, was that it was going to improve the console's battery life, although most of these changes aren't too drastic to make Nintendo Switch owners want to upgrade.
A recent video by YouTuber
Kevin Kenson has revealed that the revised version of the Nintendo Switch also features a better screen, brighter screen and brand-new Joy-Con controllers — as he compares both the current and revised models.
The video does show that, in this particular case, the revised Nintendo Switch's screen is indeed brighter than the old model — although it is important to note that this difference can also be seen among old models, as well, which is something that Nintendo has done with the 3DS in the past; some models just happen to have better screens.
What's even more interesting is that the video also shows us that this new Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con controllers are also new and different from the older models.
What it doesn't reveal, however, is if the annoying drifting issue has been fixed or not, although it seems that — while these are Joy-Cons are different — the same parts have been used; hinting that perhaps the drifting issue could still appear eventually.
