Nintendo and Game Freak's highly anticipated Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are just a mere month away from releasing on the Nintendo Switch; bringing with them every single one of the elements that have made the Pocket Monster series a household name, whilst also introducing some new elements to keep things fresh.

One of the new elements that the developers have added in this new entry in the long-running Pokémon series is the Gigantamax transformations, which make Pokémon grow to gigantic sizes and also give them new, and powerful abilities to fight other Pokémon more effectively.

The latest trailer released for the game is all about those Gigantamax transformations, which gives us a look at some of the Generation 1 Pokémon in these giant forms, and also shows off some of the new G-Max moves that the Pokémon get when they transform.

Nintendo also revealed that players who have Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! play records on their Nintendo Switch will receive an exclusive Gigantamax Pikachu or Gigantamax Eevee depending on which version of the game they have.

Players who purchase Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield before the 15th of January will also get an exclusive Gigantamax Meowth — which we can also see in the trailer.

Take a look:

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 15th of November.
