Castle Crashers released all the way back in 2008 for the previous generation of consoles. Thankfully, it will soon be making the jump to the current generation — both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

A while back, it was announced that Castle Crashers Remastered would be coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 17th and only mentioned that it would come to the PlayStation 4 at a later date.

However, in a recent blog post, the developer of the game revealed that the PlayStation 4 version will be arriving on the same day as the Switch version. So, for the most part, that's September 17th. However, those in Europe will have to wait until September 19th for both versions.

Being a remastered version of the iconic beat 'em up, various parts of the upcoming game have been improved. Texture sizes are now five times greater than they were before. Castle Crashers only ran at 30 frames per second but the updated version reaches 60! All DLC that was released for the obsolete version will be included with the new version and able to be unlocked in-game.

Castle Crashers Remastered will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on September 17th, 2019.
