Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games have officially launched their game Wildgate, the high-octane, crew-based space shooter that’s part FPS, part spaceship brawler, and 100% chaotic fun. Available now on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, players can grab the standard edition for $29.99 or the Renegade Edition which includes 17 exclusive cosmetics for $49.99.
In Wildgate, players step into the role of prospectors, forming small crews to navigate The Reach a vast, procedurally-generated region of space filled with danger, loot, and rival ships. The goal? Secure the mysterious Artifact and either extract safely or eliminate all enemy crews to claim dominance.
Whether it’s hijacking enemy ships, setting space traps, or going full space pirate with heavy cannons, Wildgate emphasizes chaotic teamwork and on-the-fly strategy in ever-changing environments.
The Wildgate is OPEN. Twenty players. Five crews. One way out. No time to waste.
Wildgate’s open beta took Steam by storm during Next Fest, reaching the #2 spot among most-played games. According to Moonshot Games head Jason Chayes, that momentum has been carried into launch:
"We hit the number two spot on Steam during Next Fest… The adventure is just beginning."
Dreamhaven cofounder and former Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime added:
"Wildgate represents what Dreamhaven believes games can be: rich, imaginative, and deeply engaging."
Key Features Of Wildgate
- Procedurally-Generated Maps – No two matches are the same, with shifting layouts, cosmic hazards, and alien ruins.
- Team-Based Space Combat – Use cannons, gadgets, or sabotage to win. Wing it when plans fall apart.
- Diverse Prospectors – Each character brings unique tools and styles. Space crimes encouraged.
- Strategic Objectives – Snatch the Artifact and escape, or eliminate every other crew for the win.
What’s Coming Up Next For Wildgate?
