The otome genre in video games is one that has a huge following in Japan but is still trying to get its legs with a western audience. Otome is a genre that is geared more to the female audience and has players following a narrative that allows for multiple possibilities in terms of people that can be romanced; however, the player decides to handle it.
One title that has been a huge hit in Japan has been Code:Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~, which was released this past summer and is part of the Code:Realize game series. Due to the success of the game, it has been a wonder if the game would make its way to the west, and now it looks like that is exactly what is going to happen!
According to the developer's Twitter, Aksys Games will be shipping the game out for the Nintendo Switch with a ton of awesome goodies! Along with a standard and limited edition, there will also be buttons, a keychain, and some chibi artwork!
