Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is an action-adventure game with role-playing elements developed and published by Capcom. It is part of the highly acclaimed
Monster Hunter series that saw its humble beginnings back in 2004 for the PlayStation 2.
The monster-hunting title was released for the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of August but had been out in Japan for a bit over a year, with the Nintendo 3DS version of the game(titled
Monster Hunter X in Asia) coming out in Japan all the way back in 2015.
Although
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate has been out for almost 2 months now, Capcom has just decided to share the opening cinematic to the game. Don't get me wrong, the opening is pretty awesome in its own right, it just seems odd that they would randomly decide to upload it 2 months after the game launched.
A few days ago Capcom announced that
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate was getting a nice Capcom crossover that would include skins for Palicoes, Armour Transmogs, and more as part of their free DLC. Perhaps they are planning on releasing some new content before the holidays?
Monster Hunter is a series that hardly needs any push when it comes to sales so maybe they just released the opening cinematicb ecause it is a pretty great opening.
Regardless of Capcom's intentions, take a look at the brilliant opening cinematic to
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch:
