Kirby: Star Allies is the latest entry in the Kirby series created by Masahiro Sakurai; with Kirby's Dream Land, the first entry in the series, releasing for the Game Boy in 1992.

The game was released for the Nintendo Switch in March of this year, and ever since it came out Nintendo has been regularly updating the game by adding new features and, mostly, new playable characters in the form of Dream Friends.

Kirby: Star Allies already features characters like Gooey, Rick, Kine, and Coo from Kirby's Dream Land 2, Marx from Kirby Super Star, Adeleine and Ribbon from Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Dark Meta Knight from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, and Daroach from Kirby: Squeak Squad.

The latest update for Kirby: Star Allies will be introducing Magolor from Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Taranza from Kirby: Triple Deluxe, and Susie from Kirby: Planet Robobot, as well as the Three Mage-Sisters Francisca, Zan Partizanne, and Flamberge. This new update is also introducing "Heroes in Another Dimension", which is a new mode that will allow players to play as every Dream Friend and fight parallel versions of the enemies found in Kirby: Star Allies.

Today, HAL Laboratory has announced that development for Kirby: Star Allies has officially wrapped up, meaning that the update that the game is getting today will be the final update, as well as thanking fans for their support since the game released.
