Sega Ages is a compilation of classic titles from the 16-Bit era that were developed by Sega.
The game was announced in April of this year and was expected to arrive in August but was later delayed.
Sega has officially released the first trailer for
Sega Ages, showing off the first two titles that they will be releasing:
Lightening Force: Quest for Darkstar and the iconic
Sonic the Hedgehog.
Lightening Force: Quest for Darkstar, also know as
Thunderforce IV in japan, is a horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up game released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, becoming one of the best games in the genre upon release.
Not needing any kind of introduction,
Sonic the Hedgehog was Sega's first title in the beloved
Sonic franchise. The game was released in 1991 and became an instant hit amongst Sega Genesis/Mega Drive owners. Not only that but Sonic also became Sega's official mascot, and has been the face of the company ever since.
Lightening Force: Quest for Darkstar and
Sonic the Hedgehog are the first two titles in the
Sega Ages series to be released. Both games are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for players to purchase and take their adventures on-the-go.
