Marvel Ultimate Alliance series will return in 2019 with first game in nearly a decade titled
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch, Marvel and Nintendo announced yesterday during The Game Awards. Just like 2009's
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (developed at Vicarious Visions), the third installment will feature up to four player co-op.

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have been beloved by fans for more than a decade, and this new installment on Nintendo Switch will deliver even more of the thrills and heroics that the franchise is known for,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “
Thanks to our partnership with Marvel, the fate of the Marvel Universe will literally be in the hands of Nintendo Switch players, whether they’re at home or on the go.”
The Game Awards Producer Geoff Keighley has revealed that
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is being made by Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja that brought us together the acclaimed
Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, and
Nioh series.
MUA3 is not the only major project Team Ninja is currently working on, as they are also busy developing
Nioh 2 that was announced during E3 2018.
