The
Monster Hunter series is one of Capcom's most acclaimed franchises lately. Without taking credit from Capcom's other popular franchises,
Monster Hunter has become their go-to series in recent years, and the one the company itself has been promoting the most.
Capcom focusing on
Monster Hunter that much isn't just because, though, since the series has earned its right to be treated with the utmost respect.
Monster Hunter World even managed to become the best-selling title ever in the history of the Japanese company, last May—as announced by Capcom at the end of their fiscal year.
On Nintendo's side of things, The Legend of Zelda has always been a popular franchise, nop doubt about that, but what has really put them on the map lately is
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild—which has become on of the best open-world games ever, even considered by many to be one of the greatest games of all time. This has led Nintendo to promote the game by including characters from
The Legend of Zelda in other game series, either their own, or from other third party developers.
Last year, Bethesda included a
Breath of the Wild outfit for their very own open-world game
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Nintendo even featured, just yesterday, a brand new
The Legend of Zelda skin, and bike, as
free downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Now, Nintendo and Capcom have teamed up to bring some
The Legend of Zelda-themed skins, as well as some new items, to the world of
Monster Hunter in the upcoming Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate title for the Nintendo Switch. These skins include
The Legend of Zelda outfits from
The Wind Waker,
Skyward Sword, and
Breath of the Wild. The new items include, as seen on the trailer, the new Ancient Bow from
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the iconic Master Sword and Hylian Shield. All of this is included in
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and will be available when the game releases on the
28th of August.
