One of the biggest surprises of 2018, The Bearded Ladies'
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 25th, Funcom announced yesterday. The port's existence was leaked a week ago, so it's good to officially know that the
X-COM-esque sleeper hit is indeed headed to Switch.
Road to Eden is also getting a physical retail version, titled
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Deluxe Edition (which includes a new DLC [it's unclear if it applies to
Stalker Trials, a separate challenge mode that populates a selection of the game’s huge maps with different types of enemies] or maybe something totally fresh), also on June 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and obviously Switch.
The retail
Deluxe Edition will come with the base game and that new expansion DLC for $39.99.
Mutant is set in a "
post-human" world which has been destroyed during the nuclear holocaust, strongly inspired by a pen-and-paper role-playing system that originally released in Sweden back in 1984. Be sure to take a look at the recent trailer for
Year Zero's Nintendo Switch port down below:
A tactical adventure game combining the turn-based combat of XCOM with story, exploration, stealth, and strategy. Take control of a team of Mutants navigating a post-human Earth. Created by a team including former HITMAN leads and the designer of PAYDAY.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW; coming to Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2019.
