With over 3 million units sold within its first week since launch, becoming the fourth best-selling item this past Black Friday, and also managing to lead Japanese charts for three weeks straight, Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! have proven that they're more than the simple remake fans initially thought it would be.

Taking players back to the Kanto region, Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! is a remake of the original Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, which was released in 1999 for the Game Boy, but takes a few liberties by adjusting its gameplay that reminds us a little bit more of Niantic's Pokémon GO.

While some gameplay mechanics in this game have been changed, the core essence of the series is alive and kicking, and the latest trailer for the game reminds players that the Pokémon series has always been about catching, training, and battling Pokémon, and Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! are not the exception.

Take a look:

Return to the Kanto region and experience a classic Pokémon journey in a whole new way with Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch!

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! are currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
