GameFreak and Nintendo continue to impress with the new entry in the
Pokémon series:
Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu /Eevee!. The general idea that most longtime fans of the series had regarding this new game was that it was simply not worth their time given that it wasn't a title in the core
Pokémon series but a
Pokémon Go spin-off.
While it is true that
Pokémon Let's Go is a
Pokémon Go spin-off, what some people failed to see was that this new game was also catering to the core fanbase by being a remake of the classic
Pokémon Red,
Green, and
Blue with elements from
Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition—which were the first games in the franchise, as well as the introduction to the series for many current fans.
The day
Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and
Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! were released, the games were very positively received by media outlets and fans of the series, and today we have new information that keeps proving naysayers wrong as the games have been selling pretty well worldwide.
The official Pokémon Twitter account from Japan has recently announced that
Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! have managed to sell an impressive 3 million copies within its first week since release; becoming the best-selling title, in its first week, on the Nintendo Switch.
