For the first time in 10 years, the critically acclaimed
Marvel Ultimate Alliance game series will return with four-player co-op action and an original story this summer, Nintendo officially announced during yesterday's Direct. An all-new gameplay trailer associated with that announcement also revealed that Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson in the upcoming movie) and Venom will be playable characters.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive will support the four-player co-op TV (locally) and online modes, giving all players a chance to work together and perform powerful Alliance Extreme attacks. Developer Team Ninja, the creators of the
Nioh, Ninja Gaiden, and
Dead or Alive series, will also give you an opportunity to use a dynamic zoomed-in Heroic Camera, getting you even closer to the action.
The Black Order is not the only project Team Ninja is currently developing, as its long-delayed
Dead or Alive 6 will release on March 1st, while the highly anticipated sequel to
Nioh is still coming in 2019.
MUA3 will surely make your inner comic fan happy, featuring heroes from the
Avengers (although Hawkeye is nowhere to be seen, there's hope Marvel will fix that error in the future),
Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and
Defenders (made up of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones) teams.
