When the Nintendo Switch Online service launched back in September, Nintendo also revealed that they were releasing a set of classic NES controllers compatible with the Nintendo Entertainment System feature, although we didn't really get an official release date other than they would be available in December.

These NES wireless controllers would only be compatible with the Nintendo Entertainment System feature, though, so their use is pretty much limited to Nintendo Switch Online members. In fact, these controllers will not be available in stores and can only be purchased by members of this online service—as well as being restricted to 1 pair of NES controllers per account.

Today, Nintendo has announced, via their verified Twitter account, that pre-orders for the NES wireless controllers have just become available and Nintendo Switch Online members can purchase them at the official Nintendo website by clicking right here. The suggested price hasn't changed since the time they were announced and one pair of NES Controllers will cost $59.99 USD. Nintendo still hasn't given us an official release date but the NES wireless controllers are expected to release mid-December; just in time for the Holidays.
