A new trailer and official release date for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, a brand-new Pokémon web anime, and the return of some classic Pokémon games on the Nintendo Switch Online service were all revealed during the most recent Pokémon Presents presentation!
Catch up on all of the main announcements from the presentation below:
- Paldea, a Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, will debut in September in Pokémon GO, bringing all generations of Pokémon together for the first time ever in a Pokémon game.
- An original web anime series called Pokémon: Paldean Winds, which premieres on September 6, follows three trainers as they attend local schools.
- During the stream, a new Detective Pikachu Returns trailer was made available, in which the game's name sake introduces the characters and premise. The game launches on October 6.
- Pokémon Stadium 2 and Pokémon Trading Card Game, both of which were first available on the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy, are now available on Nintendo Switch Online!
The Teal Mask, the first DLC, introduces new Pokémon Dipplin, an evolution of Applin, a new mini-game where you can take pictures of Pokémon, and more. The Indigo Disk, the second DLC, features flying mechanics for the box legendaries, Archaludon, a new form of Duraludon, and a preview of upcoming Area Zero content. On the models of Raikou and Cobalion, two further new paradox Pokémon were hinted about.
The Indigo Disk is still scheduled for delivery in the winter of 2023, while The Teal Mask will go on sale on September 13. Watch the feature video for it down below:
Lastly, over the next month and a half, a unique event will feature Mew and Mewtwo "bringing their fierce battle" to Paldea. From now on, you can mystery gift Mew using the code GETY0URMEW, and from September 1 to September 17, you can use it to raid against Mewtwo to get the "Mightiest Mark" on the legendary Pokémon.
