SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is a compilation of some of the most iconic, and classic titles from the Japanese company. The game is being developed by SNK and published Nippon Ichi Software(NIS), and will be available as a console exclusive for the Nintendo Switch on the
13th of November.
Initially, SNK had only revealed 13 titles for the collection, which included
Alpha Mission, Athena,
Crystalis, Ikari Warriors, Victory Road, Ikari III - The Rescue, Prehistoric Isle, Street Smart, TNK III, Vanguard, Psycho Soldier, P.O.W., and Guerrilla War, but the company also announced very early on that they would be releasing other titles post-launch.
A couple of weeks ago, NIS America released a new video that revealed 5 new classic games that would be added to the
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection as part of the first free DLC. SNK also revealed that this was the first batch of titles to be released, but they would be releasing 10 games in total.
Now, we get a new video that showcases the last 5 games being included as free DLC, that is according to the description on the official video. What's interesting is that the trailer shows off
Beast Busters,
Bermuda Triangle,
Ozma Wars,
Paddle Mania, and
SAR: Search and Rescue, but the video also lists SNK's
World War as one of the titles. Neither the video description on YouTube, nor the video itself shows us that game; so maybe they spoiled an upcoming title that may be part of a paid DLC we still don't know anything about.
This new batch of games included in the 2nd bundle of Free DLC games for
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection will be joining
Chopper I,
Fantasy,
Munch Mobile,
Sasuke vs. Commander, and
Time Soldiers(the first Free DLC titles) and will release on the
11th of December as well.
