Over the weekend, a rumour started going around the internet claiming that
YouTube would finally be getting an app for the Nintendo Switch. While there were quite a few more sources that hinted at this rumour being true, there was no official word by Nintendo or YouTube regarding the topic until now.
Today, Nintendo has officially revealed that the YouTube app is now available for the Nintendo Switch, and users can now kick back and relax enjoying their favourite YouTube channels anywhere they want. The Nintendo Switch YouTube app is, obviously, free to downlaod and can be found on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Much like every YouTube app for mobile devices, Apple TV, and Smart TVs, the app on the Nintendo Switch keeps the exact same elements and interphase, while also making use of the Switch's touchscreen, and works just the same way anyone would expect.
Hopefully, this also makes Nintendo realise that there are a lot of Switch owners that would also like other streaming services available like Amazon Primer and Netflix, but them adding YouTube alone is already great news for fans of The Big N. Keep them coming, Nintendo.
