Having launched in September of this year, the
Nintendo Switch Online service has done very little to convince players about paying for the service that is, truth be told, pretty lacking in content. Regardless, it is still the only way to play Nintendo Switch games online, so it has become a bit of a necessity for some hardcore online players.
One of the things that the
Nintendo Switch Online feature has going for it, although it's still way behind in terms of variety, is the Nintendo Entertainmen System feature which, as the name appropriately suggests, allows players to play some of the classic 8-Bit titles the NES library has to offer.
Nintendo is also introducing a new pair of wireless NES Controllers that are an almost exact replica of the ones that came with the original system, except for a few key differences that make them more of an addition to the Nintendo Entertainment System feature, and today Nintendo has shared a new video that reveals some new information about these controllers—which are only available for players who are subscribed to the
Nintendo Switch Online service.
Take a look:
Being a Nintendo Switch Online member gives players access to a variety of features, including a collection of NES games with added online play that can be enjoyed on a Nintendo Switch system. To make these games feel even more authentic, users can play them with the Nintendo Entertainment System controllers.
The Nintendo Switch Online service is currently available.
