Nintendo announced that they would be showcasing gameplay for the recently announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Pikmin 3 Deluxe, which would be shown during a special Nintendo Treehouse Live presentation that actually streamed a few hours ago.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity got over 20 minutes of new gameplay footage that gave us our first look at Gerudo Town, and also showed off Urbosa in action. Pikmin 3 Deluxe, however, got over 40 minutes of gameplay, which gave us a look at some of the new things that have been added to the game.
The original Pikmin 3 was released for the Nintendo Wii U in 2013, and the deluxe version that is expected to launch by the end of the month is bringing with it some new Side Stories mode that feature Olimar and Alph prior to the events that take place in Pikmin 3.
What's perhaps the most interesting news that came out of today's Nintendo Treehouse Live presentation is that a playable demo of Pikmin 3 Deluxe will be released later today; at the time this article is published however, the demo has not yet become available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
As revealed by the Nintendo Treehouse crew, the Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo will allow players to transfer their save data to the full game. What's more, those who defeat the demo's last boss, players will be able to start the game, once it becomes available, with Ultra Spicey Mode for those who want an extra challenge.
