The good news? Mario Kart Wii is expected to be released this spring.

The better news? Some of the familiar tracks will return, as well as the 4-player split screen, AND 12-player online racing.

As if that isn't enough, there will be several ways to customize the Mario Kart Wii gaming experience. Not only will you be able to select from the traditional Mario Kart characters, you'll also be able to race using your own Mii avatar on a kart or a motorcycle.

Nintendo even released a few screen shots, so head over to the Mario Kart Wii Pictures area to check them out.
