Independent Swedish video game developer from Frictional Games, Thomas Grip, has revealed that they would love to make content for the Nintendo Switch; more specifically, bringing the
Amnesia series to Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.
Thomas Grip recently told GameSpot that he's hoping to bring the Amnesia series to the Nintendo Switch and that they are currently "
looking into it".
"I would love to do Switch content. I grew up with Nintendo being the big platform, so it's like, 'Wow, we're actually doing video games for real now if we can get it on Nintendo!'", said Grip while also showing all the respect he has for The Big N.
He also mentions that the Switch being a handheld console would not prevent the game from running and that it should definitely work for the Amnesia series.
"And it would just be cool to get it on a handheld as well, because I think that should work for Amnesia and other games as well. We're looking into it and seeing what can be done. We're hoping--if everything goes as we hope--we hope we'll have it [on Switch]".
Amnesia: The Dark Descent was released in 2010 for Windows, Linux, and OS X—releasing for the first time on consoles in 2016 for the PlayStation 4. The game has, since, got extra content in the form of a free expansion titled Amnesia: Justine, and an indirect sequel to the original game called A Machine for Pigs. Both being favourably received by video game media outlets and gamers alike.
