Earlier today, PlatinumGames surprised their fans by confirming that the rumours about
The Wonderful 101 making a comeback were true. In fact, it was even more surprising to find out that the
rumoured game was a remaster of the Nintendo Wii U's exclusive title.
The good news didn't stop there, as PlatinumGames also revealed that — depending on the game's Kickstarter hitting its goals —
The Wonderful 101: Remastered would not only be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, but it could also be releasing on other platforms.
PlatinumGames has now officially confirmed that, with over 9 thousand backers, their Kickstarter campaign for
The Wonderful 101: Remastered has already hit their goals for a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam version of the game. However, it seems that they never intended to include the Xbox One as one of the platforms to release the game on.
According to the official Kickstarter website for
The Wonderful 101: Remastered, only Nintendo Switch, Steam, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game were included, and that the next two stretch goals could end up adding a Time Attack mode, as well as a new 2D side-scrolling adventure titledLuka's First Mission.
It is unknown if PlatinumGames ever considered to port
The Wonderful 101: Remastered to the Xbox One, but it seems that this won't be the case at all.
