NIS America has just announced a brand-new intellectual property in the form of
Void Terrarium, with a rather depressing, and yet uplifting trailer that introduces us to what seems to be the game's two main protagonists.
Void Terrarium, as described by the developer, is just as much a care simulator as it is a a rogue-like title, which is quite an interesting mixture of genres; couple that with a charming art-style, that seems to be hand-drawn, and you've got a very intriguing type of game.
Much details about the gameplay in
Void Terrarium haven't been shared, but the game's premise — story wise, that is — sees players taking control of a discarded maintenance robot who comes across a girl named Toriko; a girl that is likely the last remaining human, which is the reason why the robot tries to ensure her survival.
NIS America also reveals that
Void Terrarium will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this Summer, although they have yet to give us an official release date. In the mean time, be sure to check out the trailer down below, and let us know what you thought about it.
