The people over at 64 Bits, a YouTube channel that makes animated video game parodies, have shared a trailer for a parody game the fuses reimagines The Legend of Zelda series in the style of the beloved Paper Mario series; making us all wish the Nintendo would take the hint and make this a reality.
This phenomenal trailer for Paper Zelda recreates some of The Legend of Zelda series' most iconic memorable moments from a bunch of fan-favourite titles; including Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel.
To be quite fair, The Legend of Zelda would great wonderfully in the style of Paper Mario, especially the turn-based combat; even when the Zelda series has always been more action-oriented than RPG, but fans would jump at the chance to play a proper turn-based RPG title.
Before Nintendo attempts to even consider the possibility of a The Legend of Zelda game in the style of Paper Mario, it would be better that they focused on making a proper Paper Mario game like the first two games in the series; you know, the ones that didn't divide the fan base.
On a similar note, rumour has it that Nintendo could actually release a new Paper Mario game this year, and after even more recent rumours going around saying that Nintendo has a bunch of games to unveil for Mario's 35th anniversary, we can only hope that a traditional Paper Mario gets announced. In the meantime, be sure to check out the parody trailer for Paper Zelda.
