Tatsumi Kimishima is the 5th President of Nintendo after the passing of former Nintendo President Mr. Satoru Iwata in 2015. Mr. Kimishima has been on the company for 18 years, joining Nintendo as the Chief Financial Officer at The Pokemon Company in 2000 and has since been involved, in way way or the other, as one of the directors or second presidents of the Big N.

Today Nintendo Japan have released an announcement stating that Mr. Tatsumi Kimishima will be retiring on the 28th of June as the company seeks to shift to a new management structure.  Kimishima will be replaced by Shuntaro Furukawa, who has been working for Nintendo since 1994, right after he graduated from Waseda University.

Mr. Furukawa has been the Outside Director of The Pokemon Company since 2012 and has always been involved in the corporate area of Nintendo, including positions such as General Manager, Corporate Planning Department and has even been in charge of the Global Marketing Department.

With this new management structure Nintendo sees other employees being replaced, as well. The areas that will be seeing changes are mostly executive officer roles, where Mr. Tatsumi Kimishima will be assuming the role of Executive Adviser. The full list can be found by clicking right here.
