Earlier this week, NetEase Games released a roadmap for their upcoming arena shooter Marvel Rivals. The developer laid out the plans for the game leading up to and beyond its launch, including detailing its inaugural season, Dooms' Rise.
During the video, creative director Guangguang confirmed that the Marvel Rivals launch roster will feature a total of 33 playable heroes. So far, the developer has revealed 27 of them, which means there are still six more to go. Keep in mind, that NetEase is using Season 0 as part of the "launch" so they could come after the game is technically released.
In any case, we don't know the exact dates; however, it seems that NetEase may have inadvertently revealed one of the six mystery characters. Fans noticed on the official Marvel Rivals website that Hawkeye was listed as one of the heroes. Although the character's listing has since been removed, fans were quick to capture a screenshot and share it on the game's subreddit.

This actually isn't the first time we've seen Hawkeye in Marvel Rivals. A gameplay video for Moon Knight released earlier this month briefly featured the character's icon, so many are expecting him to be announced soon.
This latest leak gives us our best look at the in-game version of Hawkeye. His costume retains his signature purple and black color scheme but specifically features design elements from The Ultimates 3, especially the mask covering his nose and mouth. Some creative liberties appear to have been taken with the addition of armored pieces, which is more in line with the game's overall aesthetic.
As for his gameplay, Hawkeye is listed as a Duelist. These are considered the damage dealers in the game. It looks like his primary weapon will be his bow and arrows, which isn't too surprising given that the game heavily focuses on ranged attacks. It's possible that his abilities will involve the use of trick arrows, which we've seen plenty of in the comics and MCU movies.
With NetEase accidentally leaking Hawkeye on the website, it could mean that a full reveal is just around the corner. There are still six characters yet to be revealed while Marvel Rivals officially launches on December 6th. This week, NetEase has been posting alternate costumes for already revealed characters, including a "Captain Gladiator" costume for Captain America and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever costume for Namor. The most recent character to be revealed was Moon Knight.
