The rumors that Marvel was working on an Overwatch-like game turned out to be true, but Marvel Rivals is missing one key element that Overwatch and its sequel contain, the ability to be played on consoles. Both Overwatch games are available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and the Switch, while also supporting cross-play.
At the time of the game's reveal Marvel Rivals will only be playable on PC.
However, on the game's discord in the FAQ section, the developers wrote that "The game's first stop will be on Steam, however we're actively exploring potential released on other platforms."
However, since this intel has been discovered, the FAQ section has been revised to state, "The upcoming test will be available for PC. Keep an eye out for further updates on Discord!"
It sounds like a console port is definitely in development but the developers don't want to confirm it's in the works via a simple FAQ section, it's likely that they would prefer to make a console port a major announcement.

Additionally, Galacta and Doctor Doom are also confirmed to appear in the game.
A closed Alpha begins in May and given that it's Marvel, we recommend signing up ASAP as there could be a limited number of spots. Stay tuned for future updates.
