League of Legends will celebrate its tenth anniversary next year and nothing suggest that the title is getting old as millions of people play LoL on daily basis. Considering the non-decreasing popularity of the free-to-play title, Riot shouldn't worry about the future, but the American company is thankfully already developing a big-budget title comparable to LoL - at least when it comes to the budget.
Wave heard about this mysterious title for quite some time now and we finally have an officially confirmation that Riot is indeed developing a League of Legends successor. This information was confirmed during an "Ask Riot" YouTube section that featured Andrei Van Roon, the main designer at Riot Games, who decided to reveal that the popular studio is indeed working on a new major title.
Sadly, it's the only substantial news Van Roon announced during the session. It's unclear if we're talking about a free-to-play title, a Battle Royale game, a battle arena (just like LoL or DOTA), or maybe it's something brand new. Of course, it would be silly to think that Riot will abandon the cash cow known as League of Legends to develop this mysterious title, so the fans of Fields of Justice should rest easy.
