Developer and publisher NEXON has officially announced that their upcoming souls-like action RPG Vindictus: Defying Fate will be holding its Steam Alpha Test in June 2025, following a successful pre-alpha back in March 2024. This next major milestone comes with an expanded build packed with new content, gameplay enhancements, and fan-requested features based on player feedback.
To celebrate the announcement, NEXON released a brand-new trailer showcasing breathtaking visuals, intense character action, and a dark, immersive world where survival hinges on skill, timing, and ferocity. Alpha Test Highlights and What’s New
The upcoming Alpha Test will feature four playable characters: returning favorites Lann and Fiona, and newcomers Delia and Karok. Each character boasts a distinct combat style, with fluid combo mechanics that demand precise dodging, powerful counters, and unrelenting aggression to thrive on the battlefield.
For the first time, players will also have access to companion NPCs, who join in combat to support players in both single-player and the newly added multiplayer raids. These additions significantly expand upon the core gameplay, providing players with more strategic options and dynamic encounters.
