In recent years we have witnessed the proliferation of what we might consider a genre of video game on its own. There is no title, almost of any nature or condition, that escapes comparison with From Software's Dark Souls. It does not matter if it's a cooking title or a colorful platform video game, fans will ask if it's as good as DS. But the case of Tank Souls is particular. It's literally a Tank Dark Souls.
Tank Souls, which will be available next September on Steam, is an action and role-playing video game with tanks as protagonists. Its creators describe it, as it could not be otherwise, as a souls-like title in which we pilot an armored car and in which we must make our way through a good number of dungeons full of enemies that will be generated randomly in each departure.
In order to promote role playing, we will find a whole set of skills and special features, since the player will have at his disposal a complete personalization and improvement tree with which to guarantee a tank designed to suit his needs in combat.
The objects and paths that we find in these twisted pixelated levels will be generated randomly, making it difficult for us to navigate the correct paths or trajectories to reach that item we need or the end of the level. Labyrinth and great difficulty, Tank Souls promises to be a curious game.
Tank Souls hits Steam on September 12.
