Shadow of The Colossus is a masterpiece lauded by both critics and fans of the PS2 original. However, the fact remains that a significant number of gamers appreciate its enduring influence on the industry yet haven't played it in the 12 years since its release.

Indie developer Bluepoint Games seeks to create a game that retains everything that made the original so memorable while ensuring that certain tweaks are made in order to appeal to modern sensibilities.

The video below examines how the graphical fidelity was updated and the technical challenges faced by the developers. The team addresses how the original art direction was expanded upon in order to create something familiar yet different.
